Table widget with totals

The Table widget now shows the total of each column, giving an immediate read of the overall figure alongside the breakdown by category.
Users no longer have to add up the rows themselves to understand the size of what they are looking at, for example the total number of products across all product models, or the total customer count across all countries.

Totals are displayed automatically according to the statistics configuration: when the statistics are grouped, the widget computes and shows the column total on its own.
No additional configuration is required in the Console, and existing templates using the Table widget get the totals as soon as the release is applied.

Table widget with multiple statistics

The Table widget can now display more than one statistic at time. Each statistic adds its own columns, so a single table can compare different KPIs over the same grouping.

For example, an Operation Manager can see, over a given period, the number of work sessions and the total good and bad pieces produced, broken down by machine.

A Service Manager can compare the number of failures and the total downtime (averaged per machine) of each customer over the a period.

Until now, showing different measures meant placing several tables side by side, each with its own title. Users now get the full picture in one place, easier to read and to export.
In the Console, you can add multiple Statistic sub-elements to the same Table widget; the statistics must share the same grouping so that their values line up on the same rows.

Notes on user reported events

When a DPS user reports an event through the Report Event action of the Event List widget, the notes entered in the pop-up are now kept on the event and can be edited afterwards. The note is edited in a single free-text field, which holds the current description of the situation, and whoever works on the event can refine it to male the picture  clearer, for instance by adding what was found on site, what has already been tried, or correcting an initial report made in a hurry.

The result is that the context provided by the person who noticed the problem lives with the event instead of being lost right after its creation, giving technicians a more reliable starting point.
The note editing field is now displayed automatically in the event details, with no change required to the event template.

Event notes are now also available as placeholders in notification messages.

Bug Fixes (DPS)

  • The Daily Summary Grid widget displayed a cell as normal even if the most recent value received was above a warning threshold or even a critical threshold.

  • The Work Session list widgets did not allow querying by work session duration.

  • The Time Series Chart widget did not clear the offline data ranges when the input period changed.

  • The Time Series Chart widget did not ignore unmapped things, leading to unexpected results.

  • The Subscription overview page did not handle the search correctly.

Bug Fixes (Console)

  • Importing events into a Thing Definition belonging to a hierarchy could detach an existing event defined at a different level.

  • The alert properties were not preloaded in the Visual Editor property panel.
