When a relevant event occurs in the DPS (e.g. Registration, Password Changed, Machine Failure), users who have visibility into it can be notified through various channels (e.g., e-mail, push) and according to the user's preference to receive notifications.

Notification messages ca be configured in the console Messages page.

Unsubscribe from notifications

According to the GDPR users should be able to unsubscribe from notifications.
The default e-mail templates used for notifications include the unsubscribeUrl placeholder that is automatically replaced by a link that, when clicked, allows the user to turn off all notifications.

By clicking the link, the user is redirected to a confirmation page.

If confirmed, the notifications are turned off.

Unsubscription also takes effect in case the email address is used within a property of type CONTACTS or in a thing rule with a Notification action configured.
