Connection Mapping

Entering the Thing edit page, the Connection tab allows you to edit the IoT Connector and define the connection mapping properties.
If the Connection tab is not configured correctly, the Thing will not be able to communicate with the DPS backend.

Here is an example of the Connection mapping board, but depending on the IoT connector selected, the input form may be different.

Optionally, the main connector can be overwritten, punctually redefining all properties of the connection.

When a Thing inherits the main IoT connector, the connection properties (e.g. credentials) are obfuscated for security reasons (see security warning above).
The same is valid for location and customer mapping.

For security reasons, via API, there is no way to obtain the full configuration of the main IoT Connector.
