# Bulk Updates

When the DPS user needs to manage hundreds or even thousands of connected products, the ability to perform bulk updates saves a lot of time during maintenance or setup operations. For example, if you want to update the firmware on all products of a certain model, or if you want to execute a command on all machines belonging to a specific customer.

In the DPS, it is possible to perform these bulk operations:

- *Firmware Update*: a [firmware update](/v1/docs/remote-control-configuration#firmware) request is sent to a set of things.
- *Command Execution*: a [command execution](/v1/docs/remote-control-configuration#commands) request is sent to a set of things.
- *Recipe Update*: a [recipe](/v1/docs/recipes) can be sent to a set of things.
- *Tagging*: multiple things can be tagged.
- *Deletion*: multiple items can be deleted upon a strong confirmation. This operation is available only on [Thing List](/v1/docs/thing-list-widget) or [Customer List](/v1/docs/customer-list-widget) widgets.

In the DPS, users who have visibility on multiple things can take advantage of specific widgets that support bulk updates.
